high dew points

Need to make a habit of keeping up this blog.  Been warm meaning hot here in WI, also high dew points, getting my run in early 6-6:30am after dog walk.  This morning had a struggle with run.  To much carb after supper or just not in mood to run, lots of life going on with grandson having cancer.  Hope to get the bike ride in later and some weights been missing weights.  So much for now.

How did I miss yesterday, did a brick of 1 hr bike and 24 min run.  Had nuts as my fuel and half a Kind bar also full of nuts, grape juice mixed with water for drinking.  Worked out fine.  Today Monday will do some easy sprints barefoot and maybe some deadlifts or maybe nothing.  Had 2 eggs, 3 bacon, 1 slice sprouted bread with PB and berries in cream, lunch was salad with left over pork and brat. Supper will be a ?.

finish the day on bike

Got out for a 29 mile bike ride, was a nice ride did stop for almonds and fruit juice mixed with water as my fuel.

a little warm

Went out before eating or having my bulletproof coffee for a 6 mile run.  Temps already near 70 with 73% dew point.  Had some water and honey mix for my fuel about 12oz.  Tasted a bit sweet so I will have to work on the proper amounts.  Run went well and of course the right foot got tight after 2 miles, need to get that fixed.  Lakefront marathon is 3 months away.  Had 2 eggs, 3 bacon 1 slice sprouted bread with pb and 1 cup bullet proof coffee.  Then to farmers market for some meat and vegies.  2 hour bike ride later.

late run and noon time eating fun

Had a salad lunch at work, bread looked really nice but I stuck to salad and 1 slice of cake co worker birthday, oh well.  Still in the 60-70 range of carbs for the day. Run went well and weights was fun.

easy bike

Yesterday ran in 81 temps with a 74 dew point, got 4 miles in enough for the day.  Today biked on rail to trail with mt.bike just a poke ride to stay loose.  Carbs were down today 60, and light on protein, feel pretty good, ate nothing on 14 mile ride.

part 2 of da day

The rain did stop so out on the bike I went, bit windy but its all good.  No drafting rule for my next race a 2run16bike2run. Had a granola bar along and water only worked out fine.  Got done had a Whey/almond milk shake.

So after Thursday night group ride I did my pig-out on junk food, old habits are hard to break.  Friday after my bulletproof coffee I was not feeling well was it the miles on the bike only 32 or the junk I ate that had me sleeping all morning?  Today Saturday the 22nd I start fresh, morning I had 3 almond pancakes, 4oz canadian bacon and homemade blueberry topping with bulletproof coffee, see what the rest of the day brings. Have a 2hour bike if the rain stops.

2nd day low carb

Same in am bulletproof coffee, 1 egg, cheese, 1slice sprouted bread w/pb and jam, 3/4cup real mile yogurt with strawberries.  Lunch turkey roll up with romain, 5 cherries.  Supper hamburger with stir fry veggies, 1/2 apple at bedtime.  Run was good with a steady hr of 119 for the 6 miles.

cut carbs

Had a low carb day, eggs,cheese and vegies with bulletproof coffee to start day, nice large salad with salmon for lunch and bacon,burger with cheese for supper.  Felt good all day.

try to keep this up, have some races and in process of changing diet to a low crab, high fat lifestyle. more to come later.
